Backstory: Two of our adoptions were dogs who were flown to NYC from Egypt. Marzi, the second one in - and in the second row --- and Fozi, the fifth one on the top row (also known as Badooka.) Marzi in particular had be-be gun wounds all over her body and was left for dead . She had some painful particles in her eye and in order to rid her of them her eye had to be removed. Marzi wound up as a news story on ABC where she received so much attention ! She is now very happy in her loving home as is Fozi !

Another tale (pun intended) was when Snookie, 3rd bottom right, slipped her harness and ran for safety (so she thought). The founder of Waggytail Rescue took her bike and with posts and help from all of us on Facebook and Instagram, she was able to find her hiding behind some supplies in an auto body shop! Amazzing. It's very important to keep your dog double cinched between a collar and a harness. Chihuahuas have a way of wriggling. Thankfully she is also in a loving, protective home!
